About me:
Born: 1962 in Mariampol, Lithuania.
From 1989 to 1990 attended Vilnius Academy of Arts and from 1997 to 2003 studied at Vytautas Magnus University, Institute of Art in Kaunas, where acquired qualification of art historian – specialization in Heritage Protection. 2004–2008 – doctoral studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts (Art Criticism, Preservation and Restoration of Art Works).
Since 2006 I am a member of the Lithuanian Union of Artists – I joined this organization in 2006 – and consider myself one of those artists who use traditional techniques when creating works that are unique and original.
It's also worth pointing out that object of my investigation at Vilnius Academy of Arts – restoration and historical and institutional development of Lithuanian wall paintings, created by al fresco, al secco, using glue and oil techniques, from the twentieth century until the beginning of the twenty-first century (until 2006).
So one of my favorite themes is RESTORATION OF LITHUANIAN WALL PAINTINGS or INTERSECTION OF TRADITIONAL AND MODERN HERITAGE PROTECTION.
However my own painting or drawing practices are no less important for me.
Again, I am not only a painter and organizing exhibitions of my works, I am also an exhibition curator and educator who has implemented several creative projects in my country. For example, beginning in the 20th century. in the second half of the first decade, I curated the exhibitions in Vilnius "Arka" Gallery (2007), Klaipėda Picture Gallery (2008), Vilnius St Jono Street Gallery (2008 and 2019), Kaunas "Meno Forma" (2014, 2016 and 2017), in the house of Adelė and Paulius Galaunės of the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum (2018, 2020 and 2021) and the Antanas Žmuidzinavičius Museum of Works and Collections (2021).
At the same time, of course, I have organized many personal exhibitions, among others, I would single out a few more important ones: in the Kaunas Picture Gallery of the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum (1992-1993 and 1996), Vilnius St Jono street gallery (2018) and in the house of Adelė and Paulius Galaunės of the National M. K. Čiurlionis Art Museum, Kaunas (2019-2020).
Not to mention that my art studies texts (including scientific ones) were also published in the same period: "Kultūros paminklai" magazine (2004 and 2005), "Diffusions of Forms in the 20th Century. in Art" (2006), "Nemunas" magazine (2006-2016), "Annals of the History of Kaunas" (2005, 2007 and 2008), "The Origins of Modern Lithuanian Art: Kaunas Art School" (2008), "Kultūros barai" magazine (2011 and 2016), "Literatūra ir menas" magazine (2017) and "Naujoji Romuva" magazine (2017-2021).

About my painting:
The paintings are abstract, static, multi-layered, when they are painted in many sessions - often not even in one month, but in a year or even longer. In addition, special importance is given to the coloristics of the picture, the psychological effect of colors or their mutual harmony/relationship.
On the other hand, although I prefer traditional techniques when I create my original works, digital printing is also relevant for me.
